Noosa is a small but opulent coastal settlement within the Australian region of Sunshine Coast. Through time, the Noosa community has been noted and well known for its rocky headlands that are covered with lush forest and of course, the beautiful beaches. Because of its tranquil natural beauty, picturesque waterways and pristine beaches, the Noosa area has been noted as a site where numerous global millionaires put up vacation homes. Summers in Noosa come between December to February, when daily temperatures average about 21 degrees C to 28 degrees C. Summers are also characterized by more frequent rainfalls, coming as an added attraction and refreshing drizzles amid a scourging hot day in the beach or in the parks. Autumns (March to May) in the community are also good times for tourists to visit and enjoy Noosa. Winters come in June to August and Spring in September to October. The Lakelands and the North Shore of Noosa are ideal and popular for interesting outdoor activities like horseback trailing and riding, camel safari, skydiving, mountain biking and four-wheel driving. Noosa is a famous holiday destination also because of its laid-back atmosphere, aside from the drawn-out festivals. Regional events include Rock'n Tewantin, Festival of Surfing, Noosa Long Weekend, Pomona's King of the Mountain and Triathlon. The most popular of these Noosa annual events is the Festival of Surfing, which occurs every March. The festival underpins and makes use of the surfing locations that make Noosa well-known as a surfing destination. The first week of July is designated for a 10-day Long Weekend, when Noosa's unique food, culture and fashion are paraded and celebrated in the most fun and grand manner. While it is a common and logical knowledge that Noosa's tourism industry is its bread and butter, it would also be interesting to note that several other industries do thrive in the region. Such other industries are directly reliant and involved with tourism, though. The Noosa real estate and business sectors are booming as investors eye and buy several properties and assets in the area. Noosa retail is strong as tourists boost consumer spending in the community. Because there are just too many tourism developments, construction is naturally rising in Noosa, while accommodations and restaurants are actively generating hefty revenues with the steady influx and inflow of tourists and vacationers.
